Our Dog, The Haus

How He Came Into Our Lives

Haus (German for “House”) was originally our neighbor’s dog. We befriended him through the chain-link fence by feeding him biscuits on a daily basis.

Our neighbor had somewhat of a hard time taking care of him; his wife divorced him after an abbreviated marriage, he had two other dogs to take care of, and he was often away from home for extended periods of time.

One night we heard him talking to someone (through our open bedroom window that abutted his driveway) that he was moving.

The next day, we knocked on his door and asked if he would consider letter us adopt Haus. He thought about it for an hour or so and then said yes.

How He Came Into Our Hearts (Cheesy, but True)

Haus is pretty much the most amazing dog he could be. Yes, he does have a slight case of submissive peeing and he’s a little on the cowardly side, but he is the most gentle, lovable, loving dog we know. You can read our list of all the reasons we adore him at: http://muzzlelove.blogspot.com.

S, that is one fine hound dog. My goodness. My respect for this relationship of yours has grown. I haven’t met the guy, but the dog is a very good sign.
